We are excited to announce that the new lab booking system was successfully launched in June 2024, to replace the self-developed lab booking system which has been in use for 20 years. This system is designed to streamline lab operations and enhance user experience for all CRFs at HKUST, with NFF (CWB) being the first central research facility in the University to implement this new centralized lab booking system.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to ISO and VPRDO for their support and collaboration throughout the development of this system. The migration process to the new system was smooth, ensuring minimal disruption to our users. Additionally, we conducted a user survey to gather feedback in August, and we are pleased to report that the results were positive.
Looking ahead, our next plan is to integrate the lab booking system with the university's smart door lock system to further enhance the user experience with lab door access. Stay tuned for more updates!
